We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30)
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and the inerrant Word of God. The Bible is the foundation upon which the church operates and is the basis for which the church is governed. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:3-4; 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe in the person of God the Father; an infinite, eternal, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of humanity; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all those who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalms 90:2; Psalms 102:27; John 3:16; John 4:24; 1 Timothy 1:17; Titus 1:3)
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ (John 10:33); God’s only Son (John 3:16); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:34-35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); His personal future return to earth in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11-13; Revelation 19:14-16) to rule and reign in righteousness (John 14; 1 Thessalonians 4; Revelation 19-22).
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit sent forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 3:18; John 16:8-11; Romans 8:26; Romans 15:13 Romans 15:16; Hebrews 9:14); and by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 1 Corinthians 14; Ephesians 4:30; Ephesians 5:18), being equipped and empowered to be witnesses unto Jesus Christ (Zechariah 4:6; Matthew 3:11; Acts 1:8; Romans 15:13; 1 Corinthians 2:4; 1 Corinthians 5:4; 2 Timothy 1:7).
We believe that all people are sinners by nature and therefore under condemnation. It is God that saves and regenerates people. Salvation is based upon a person’s faith, which is given by the Holy Spirit, their repentance of sins and confession that Jesus Christ as Lord. (Acts 8:15-17; Ephesians 2:1-3; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:8; Titus 3:5)
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved (Christian) and the lost (non-Christian); those who are saved by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ unto the resurrection of eternal life with God, and those who are lost unto the resurrection of eternal separation from God. (Psalm 9:17; Matthew 5:3; Matthew 5:22; Matthew 18:9; Matthew 25:31-34; Mark 9:42-49; Luke 12:5; John 3:18; John 5:28-29; Hebrews 12:23; 1 Peter 1:4; Revelation 14:10-11; Revelation 20:11-15)
We believe the Church to be the spiritual unity of believers, a living spiritual body, of which Christ is the head and all who believers form the Body of Christ (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 3:26-28; Ephesians 4:15-16). Christ will return for His Church prior to judgment, according to the scriptures, saving them from the judgment of the world for sin, not suffering the just in Christ to be judged with the unjust (Isaiah 26:20; Matthew 24:29-31; Luke 21:36; Romans 1:18, 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-16; 1 Thessalonians 5:9; 2 Peter 2:7-9; Revelation 3:10; Revelation 5:7-10; Revelation 7:13-14).
We believe that we, as Christians, are called to live life on mission as a people sent into the world for the demonstration and proclamation of God’s love, as made evident in the gospel of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:18-20; 1 John 4:16-17)
