Before coming to Tauranga in 2016, Pastor Doug and his wife Destiny moved from Northern California to Uganda where they planted a church in Fort Portal town called Calvary Chapel Fort Portal. In 2016, upon hearing the Lord lead them to New Zealand, Pastor Nicholas Kymuhendo became the lead pastor where he continues to serve in that role alongside his wife Grace. In that time God had blessed them with two children, and He continues to show Himself strong to provide for thier needs.
